Community Cloud allows system and services to be accessible by group of organizations.A community cloud combines the features and benefits of different cloud types into a single solution customized to a specific industry (Banks, insurance, government, enterprise, etc.). It is owned, managed, and operated by one or more organizations in the community, a third party, or a combination of them.
examples of Community clouds are : Government organization of India share a computing infrastructure in the cloud to manage data and information.
- Cost efficiency :
It is cheaper than private cloud becasuse multiple companies share the bill, which leave the cost.
- Back-up and restore data
Once the data is stored in a Cloud, it is easier to get the back-up and recovery of that, which is otherwise very time taking process on-premise.
- On-Demand Self-service
The services are provided any time any where through the internet.
- Pay as Per Use.
Cloud computing allows you flexibility because you have to pay only for what you use as a service.
- Security
More secure then public cloud but less than private cloud.
